DDeath,

I gotta go back to Booker T. & the MGs for the long version of Melting Pot.

Four instrumental prodigies..., and I know Geezer has to like that Hammond organ!

Where the Hell is Geezer?

WestTX, I hate most of the new music of all kinds, but now and then one catches my ear, and that video ain't too hard on the eyes.

Here is my favorite band and a girl you might know.

Heard this on the radio and always liked it, but never really paid attention to who sang it.

Tex, I lied........ when I said I hadn't listened to WLS in years! I have been listening to 94.7 FM and just realized it's WLS FM! :o

This was playing while driving through the snow yesterday.......... Easy to look at! :D

DDeath,

I don't see you as a liar, but maybe you're just getting old and forgetful!

I remember AM89 WLS from the 1960s on return visits from SE Asia to California. I'd listen during the late evening hours when Chicago's signal would boom in from afar. WLS was unique being centrally located, because they had good signal coverage east and west. Their signal hit south too (and still does), but tofay's broadcast programming has changed with right much syndicated broadcasting. The days of my AM radio with local personalities are gone...

Speaking of radio - this article mentions a radio station in Richmond, VA that I remember when our family visited Richmond in 1957 or 58:

I really liked Richmond, and distant family there gave me good memories.

On another topic... How much snow did you get yesterday? 12+ inches?
