Just announced the COLA for next year.

1.3 percent seems to be the figure across the board (feds, military and SS). CSRS folks do better with COLA when it's greater than 2%.

You know, your standard of living might be better in Oklahoma over Florida. In other words, get your arse moving!

DDeath is gonna take his 1.3% and reinvest in his bakery. It's about time, given that the holiday season is approaching.

TX, it is not the cost of living. I don't think there is any place cheaper than Nalcrest. I believe if Biden wins that I will be locked in here because there will be no place to escape in the entire world. I was considering Costa Rica, not for political reasons, but if America falls to the Socialists there will be no safe haven in the world. Imagine a whole country like California.

Dazed, maybe you should try one of the 10 happiest countries in the world. Oooops, maybe not, they all have national healthcare..........

Costa Rica is the one I considered for at least the last 10-15 years. At 73 I have to accept that I waited too long. The one place I might move is back to Oklahoma. Those were more my kind of people. Nalcrest has too many New England shit heads. They ruin everything they touch.

Dazed,

DDeath had New Zealand on the short list, and I've always heard that it's very nice. However, and to their favor, strict immigration policies seem to work. I never visited New Zealand or Australia, so I missed out! I did visit Japan, and I liked it. A bit crowded, but again, strict immigration policies offer stability...

You might want to take a look at some of the islands in the Indian Ocean. The Seychelles and Mauritius come to mind, or maybe St. Helena in the South Atlantic.

Did anyone watch the Biden and Trump Town meetings last night? Trump debated his host and fine fashion, while Biden had an empty-eye look in space. Maybe Hunter was in the back of his empty mind.

I think the whole world would agree that the Biden town hall was a tea party. And , the trump town hall was the DNC version of the Spanish Inquisition

I am really to the point at age 73 where it is too late to leave the country, unless you consider Oklahoma or S. Dakota as foreign.
