What is socialism?

Geez, I never said 95%......... it's more like 98%, and it's in the public record! We're like back in the caves on this!

I know there is some fraud and waste in Medicare, but not enough that everyone wants to throw it out, especially seniors!

Almost all other modern countries believe healthcare is a necessary evil! Why are we behind in this? Could it be the power of the health insurance companies not wanting to give up their necessary evil: bloated billions in profits?

DDeath,

Wasn't Medicare rolled in with CSRS employees back in the early 80s? If so, then do these retirees benefit more by having-had to pay less into the program? I benefit because of the Champus/Tricare military programs.

Medicare funding appears to be facing cuts, because of soaring costs. I've been told that one of the reasons for funding cuts is due to the high costs associated with funding healthcare (emergency room visits) for the dreamers and illegals. I don't know the whole truth behind this, but I do wonder why the Dems in particular want all of these third-word (shit-hole folk') coming into the country. It does puzzle me.

Did you see that closet you-know-what Cory Booker the other day ranting on Crapital Hill? Another radical from the Communist side, and savior for the Dems, and loved in the Shitzhole of Newark (and probably Camden), NJ. The Party is full of moronic arseholes.

I'm not pointing my finger at you for blame, but why are the Dems so radical when it comes to centralized government, breaking Federal immigration laws, rewarding the do-nothings, and raving about their newest candidate (Chick-Dick Manning) from the liberal state of Maryland?

WestTx, the Dems used to stand for something, now they fall for anything.

I agree. Harry Truman, Sam Nunn and Jimmy Carter (although Carter's foreign policy was problematic at best). I even had a liking for the progressive, Walter Mondale.

Times have either changed dramatically, or I'm just getting older and more set in my ways. I give DDeath a hard time sometimes, but I intend it to be brotherly debate. He really does want to see the best in people, and maybe I'm more sensitive; that being an American minority with distant ties to Africa (sarcasm). I really believe that if minorities play the victim game that the <current> Dems want us to, then we just victimize ourselves. As difficult as it is for many to believe, Barry Goldwater was my modern-day politician of choice.

Listen, I still want you to settle down with wife that we all agree on. I betcha Geezer or DDeath can provide some recommendations. I sure do wish some of the distant folk' to this forum would chime in too. I guess at some point we're all going to fade away from here...

WestTX, the rest of my life is for me, and not some crazy woman. There are no women my age that interest me, unless Christie Brinkley is available.
