A Belated happy Thanksgiving

DDeath,

Gotdamn you, cuz you were supposed to take the lead yesterday with the Thanksgiving meal thread!

I sure hope everyone filled-up on a feast. I did, and the best part came with Mrs. WestTx's frozen collards brought back to life and served-up steaming hot! I could eat a plate of collards and blacked-eyed peas and take the walk to Heaven... I gotta go back to Geezer on this, cuz Carolina is the Home of Collards ! That's right Geezer... take'em from Tarboro to Enfield, then cut SE to Wilmington! Oceam fish and collards!

Dazed - I did a 5-mile walk this morn'en round about 0600 local time. Good exercise, and I blew out some of that collard gass!

TX, there isn't much one can eat that doesn't go well with a big ol' helping of greens. ('cept maybe
cherry pastries)
You just gotta remember to hit the head and check your smile before you show too much "pearly whites".

"I blew out some of that collard gass!"
You gotta remember not to combine "certain" dishes as they turn toxic and deadly.
(greens, pinto beans, boiled eggs, beer, and buttermilk)..any two together become flammable, and three
become explosive, and the entire combination guarantees NO SURVIVORS.

Thought you might enjoy this one:
ucanit "classified" those exhaust moments by how disruptive they were...low to high goes this way

The fizz...the fazz..the fizz fazz...the poot..the anti-poot...the ripple..the tear a##...and the one that
just goes whooooomp.....but the one that becomes deadly is the one deposited that no one around
hears, it just appears "out of now where", it is totally silent and meets the classification known as
" THE CHURCH CREAPER " ;)

Still dieting preparing for my big move back to Florida. I have fallen into the eat to live stage instead of live to eat. Having a minor foot operation in a few days, and then I want to throw myself into exercise. I plan to replace work with exercise or I will go crazy. Now by exercise I mean walking, yoga, Tai Chi and some light weights.

Sounds too much like being a "mailman" for my taste

Well, I guess the mailman thing would be fine without the "boss" and his cronies.

Geezer,

One of my favorite lunches from the best Air Force chow hall (Pleiku Air Base) was a big bowl of cottage cheese, diced onions and navy (baking) beans. I'd wash it down with a 12-oz. bottle (not can) of ice-cold, Coca'Cola. Two to three hours later I was a lethal weapon. I was joint-service shared, working with USAF civil enginners as a geologist (soil specialist). I got a number of evil eyes from some of "them" AF snots, but the AF pilots loved me. I even got to ride in one of them AC-130 gunships. They were good guys, and they tore the shitz outta the Earth with their gunships.

As far as Ucanit's Church fart-o-roma... Well, I'd be sit'en in my own phew! I would never be that crude in God's House!

Shitz on the rest.

The "church creeper" was usually a youngun that thought for some reason nobody would know it happened, much less the source. Kiinda like a skunk..you may not see him, you know he "done come thru".

When that creeper had been unleashed, you just hoped it wasn't loaded with Sarin. If so, you can understand why it could be so
deadly...one could just walk into that invisible cloud with absolutely no warning.

"Oh yeah" on the cottage cheese and onions, that chemical reaction is pretty close to Sarin ( C₄H₁₀FO₂P )..the beans are just the propellant. The "force behind the force"

Holy Shitz, Geezer!

I get-it now of the church creeper. I bet Jesus Christ is laughing too! You're too brutal, and that's what I call Southern Hospitality!

I can see DDeath's eyes roll'en back in his head...

Don't forget... I sure could use bout' 20 dozen boxes of them Moravian cookies for Christmas.

With all due respect:

TX, you just killed my surprise..just visited the local Deweys store front, one local company the has those cookie recipes down pat. They also make the "Moravian sugar cake" and can't be beat on the quality of either treat. (How did you know what I was up to?)

Thanks for posting the stained glass version of that beautiful "Moravian Seal"....it pretty much says it all. Many don't understand the significance of what is depicted
in that pane of glass. Hats off to you. :)

Geezer,

My respect to you. Actually the old Episcopal Church and the Moravians have (or had) some close alliances, at least in the past from North Carolina. Things are probably different today, and the current Episcopal Church has flipped off the rails so to speak. The Church of England (Anglican), and the African Episcopal Church still remain more traditional.
