Dazed, I like pop music from the 40’s (a few) thru the present day, with the fifties thru eighties most prevalent! I just can’t completely throw out a whole decade. However, to each his own......... :D

DDeath, I guess I really tired of the bubble gum sound of most of the music. I like either very dramatic beautiful music like this or a unique sound.

Full Moon and Empty Arms - Arthur Prysock. I could listen to this voice forever.

Also something totally unique like this

Woman - the Scorpions
https://youtu.be/aVKNh1E0ZFA

I am drawn to certain rhythms like the music behind this song. you may recognize the music as the theme from The Last of the Mohicans. This melody haunted me for years until I finally heard it on a Nissan commercial

Sail - AWOLnation the better video, but the other one has girls in it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgIqecROs5M
https://youtu.be/JaAWdljhD5o?list=TLPQM ... L_WSOmtUIw

The Last of the Mohicans - also one of my favorite movies

I don't try to be contrary, I am just instantly drawn to certain sounds. I asked everyone I knew about that Mohican song, but at the time I didn't realize where I first heard it, and I could only vaguely remember the rock song.

Here is another example where I am addicted to the tempo of this song.
Quickie - Miguel

My wife and I both love "The Last of the Mohicans" and have watched it many, many times. The music chokes me up every time I hear it. You win this one...... :D

DDeath, I just love the scenery in the Last of the Mohicans. That song haunted me for years. I barely heard the melody in that rock song Sail, and then Nissan used it in one of their commercials and I was able to find it, and link it to The Mohicans, and I bought the movie. I loved when Chingachgook got his revenge on Magua, I just wanted to stand up and cheer. Very few movies moved me like this one.

RIP - LITTLE RICHARD - A true all time great who could rock like nobody else. :( :( :( He can never be replaced - this was rock n Roll at its finest. Not even Jerry Lee Lewis could stay up with Little Richard. Probably the greatest pure Rock artist in history.

I will state that nobody, and I mean nobody, compares to Little Richard for pure driving Rock n Roll. The greatest pure Rock n Roll ever and not even Jerry Lee Lewis or Chuck Berry were as dynamic as Little Richard. Can you tell who my all time favorite was - I won't even take any debate on this. :(

Fantastic Song and one of my all time favorites.

The Tommy Dorsey theme song - I'm getting Sentimental Over You - I am not a fan of the big bands but this one just moves me.

Dazed,

My uncle played your music selection on an Philco tombstone radio from the 1930s. Mellow sound, and that music stirs my memory as if were yesterday.

This song from Glen Miller (with the great Jimmy Stewart photo) hits me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CI-0E_jses

Where has the time gone?
