This voice reminds me of a younger Jerry Butler.

Top picks. Wow... You're making me look out-of-touch.

Damn...

DDeath: Those three lady group clips you provided, both old and more recent, were beautiful vocals.

Dazed: What can I say? You went back to Billy Eckstire who I remember with a few songs growing up. My Uncle's time period you might say, because he was born in 1911. Eckstire was born just a few years before Tommy Edwards (1914 vs. 1922 - I checked), yet their music is different in many ways. I was more in tune with the 1950s.

My role fits here on the frontier with Frankie Laine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_xaTxzfEZk

So, let me go back to a more modern Lou Rawls. Rawls' dates back to the 1950s with Sam Cooke, but this is a 70s repeat from me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCW1i5HQ0o0

... and finally, a tribute to West Texas: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zBzZJd-nfw

I'm a broken record sometimes.

Dazed,

Evidently, Orpheus' hit, "Can't Find the Time," didn't have a full release because of financial problems. The song had limited air-time play, and in limited markets. Otherwise, my guess is that this song would have been a top pop chart hit in the late 1960s. I believe three versions of the song have been released. Bruce Arnold (Orpheus) is the best in my opinion, followed by Daris Rucker's take.
